Operations Manager - vendor management (Oakland, CA)

Silverline Rowan Freight Group coordinates shipments and warehousing around Oakland. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. We reward reliability. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
