Operations Manager - vendor management (Oakland, CA)

We are growing our team at Redstone Thistle Construction Group and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for permits and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with materials orders. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
