Operations Manager - vendor management (Oakland, CA)

Bright Field Manufacturing Group is a Oakland manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a large organisation of about 312 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for work orders and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with production lines. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Oakland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
