Operations Manager - vendor management (Oakland, CA)

Summit Junction Auto Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for parts orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for parts orders and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with supplier deliveries. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Oakland. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
