Operations Manager - vendor management (Milwaukee, WI)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Manufacturing Group and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for production lines and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with scrap and rework. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Milwaukee. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
