Operations Manager - vendor management (Madison, WI)

We are growing our team at Redstone Drift Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. Dispatch, drivers and warehouse staff talk to each other constantly. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with proof of delivery. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Madison. • We reply to every applicant.
