Operations Manager - vendor management (Madison, WI)

Ironwood Sparrow Energy is an energy provider in Madison focused on reliable service and fair billing. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for usage data and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with billing disputes. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Madison, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
