Operations Manager - vendor management (Knoxville, TN)

Nova Wilder Water Authority is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for pipe repairs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Knoxville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
