Operations Manager - vendor management (Knoxville, TN)

Bright Pine Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Knoxville. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 41 people based in Knoxville. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for meter reading and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Knoxville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
