Operations Manager - vendor management (Kansas City, MO)

Redstone Yarrow Foods Group is a Kansas City food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Track performance measures for ingredient orders and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer specifications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Kansas City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
