Operations Manager - vendor management (Jacksonville, FL)

Fernwood Harbor Freight is a Jacksonville logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a large organisation of about 970 people based in Jacksonville. What you will do • Track performance measures for customer tracking and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with claims. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Jacksonville, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
