Operations Manager - vendor management (Jackson, MS)

Fernwood Lakeside Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Jackson. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with weigh tickets. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Jackson. • We reply to every applicant.
