Operations Manager - vendor management (Indianapolis, IN)

Ironwood Lakeside Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Indianapolis design routes and schedules. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a large organisation of about 885 people based in Indianapolis. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with accessibility audits. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Indianapolis, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
