Operations Manager - vendor management (Houston, TX)

Clearpath Summit Manufacturing Group manufactures parts and assemblies at its Houston plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for tooling and act on them. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Houston. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
