Operations Manager - vendor management (Houston, TX)

Silverline Glen Foods Group produces packaged foods at its Houston plant, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. We like people who take pride in what they make. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for cold storage and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with production batches. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
