Operations Manager - vendor management (Houston, TX)

Nova Iron Water Authority is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for treatment plant data, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for treatment plant data and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with capital projects. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
