Operations Manager - vendor management (Houston, TX)

Bluepeak Amber Water Authority operates treatment plants and pipelines around Houston. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Track performance measures for capital projects and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with treatment plant data. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Houston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
