Operations Manager - vendor management (Honolulu, HI)

Silverline Fern Environmental Services is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for landfill records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for landfill records and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with recycling loads. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Honolulu, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
