Operations Manager - vendor management (Hartford, CT)

Stonegate Iron Construction is a Hartford contractor with project managers, trades and support staff. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. We build things that last and we are honest about schedules. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for subcontractor invoices and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with safety records. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
