Operations Manager - vendor management (Hartford, CT)

Foxglove Orchard Foods Group produces packaged foods at its Hartford plant. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a large organisation of about 370 people based in Hartford. What you will do • Track performance measures for ingredient orders and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with customer specifications. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
