Operations Manager - vendor management (Detroit, MI)

Foxglove North Manufacturing is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for scrap and rework, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 323 people based in Detroit. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for scrap and rework and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with machine downtime. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Detroit. • We reply to every applicant.
