Operations Manager - vendor management (Detroit, MI)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Technologies and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. Many of our supervisors started on the floor. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for production lines and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with machine downtime. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Detroit. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
