Operations Manager - vendor management (Des Moines, IA)

Stonegate Clear Transit Planning Partners helps transport agencies around Des Moines design routes and schedules. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 125 people based in Des Moines. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for survey data and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Des Moines. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
