Operations Manager - vendor management (Des Moines, IA)

Rivermark Meridian Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Des Moines, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. Food safety is non-negotiable and we train for it. What you will do • Track performance measures for production batches and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with ingredient orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
