Operations Manager - vendor management (Des Moines, IA)

Northwind Forge Transit Planning helps transport agencies around Des Moines design routes and schedules. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. We value plain explanations. What you will do • Track performance measures for ridership counts and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with service alerts. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
