Operations Manager - vendor management (Des Moines, IA)

We are growing our team at Ironwood North Construction and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for subcontractor invoices and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with change orders. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Des Moines. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
