Operations Manager - vendor management (Des Moines, IA)

Summit Fox Construction Group is a Des Moines contractor with project managers, trades and support staff, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for safety records and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with permits. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Des Moines. • We reply to every applicant.
