Operations Manager - vendor management (Dallas, TX)

Lumen Maple Water Authority supplies drinking water and treats wastewater for Dallas and nearby communities. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. Our work is invisible when it goes well, and we are proud of that. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for water quality and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Dallas. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
