Operations Manager - vendor management (Columbus, OH)

Westbrook Wren Environmental Services Group is an environmental-services company in Columbus with routes, transfer stations and recycling, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a large organisation of about 434 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for weigh tickets and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with landfill records. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Columbus, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
