Operations Manager - vendor management (Columbus, OH)

Fernwood Manufacturing Group is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for production lines, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 762 people based in Columbus. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for production lines and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with customer orders.
