Operations Manager - vendor management (Chicago, IL)

Harborlight Yarrow Foods makes sauces, snacks and prepared meals in Chicago, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. Food safety is non-negotiable and we train for it. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for ingredient orders and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with sanitation schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Chicago. • We reply to every applicant.
