Operations Manager - vendor management (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Summit Cobalt Construction Holdings and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with project schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Chicago. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
