Operations Manager - vendor management (Charleston, SC)

Fernwood Meridian Inspection Services is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for client sites, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 40 people based in Charleston. What you will do • Track performance measures for client sites and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with test reports. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Charleston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
