Operations Manager - vendor management (Buffalo, NY)

Fernwood Beacon Manufacturing is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for work orders, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 705 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for work orders and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Experience with customer orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
