Operations Manager - vendor management (Buffalo, NY)

Silverline Lakeside Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around Buffalo, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with survey data. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Buffalo. • We reply to every applicant.
