Operations Manager - vendor management (Buffalo, NY)

We are growing our team at Summit Environmental Services and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for collection routes and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with fleet maintenance. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
