Operations Manager - vendor management (Buffalo, NY)

Bluepeak Mill Freight is looking for an Operations Manager. The job centres on vendor management for loads and lanes, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with carrier rates. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Buffalo. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
