Operations Manager - vendor management (Buffalo, NY)

We are growing our team at Bright Orchard Farms and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 129 people based in Buffalo. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for seasonal crews and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with packing house output. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Buffalo. • We reply to every applicant.
