Operations Manager - vendor management (Boston, MA)

Silverline Forge Environmental Services serves homes and businesses with collection and disposal in Boston. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 65 people based in Boston. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Track performance measures for weigh tickets and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with collection routes. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Boston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
