Operations Manager - vendor management (Boston, MA)

Northwind Keystone Farms supplies farm and food customers across the Boston region. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 198 people based in Boston. What you will do • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for seasonal crews and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with harvest schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Boston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
