Operations Manager - vendor management (Boston, MA)

Westbrook Bright Manufacturing is a Boston manufacturer supplying regional industrial customers. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Track performance measures for work orders and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with tooling. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, spread across three days. • On site in Boston. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
