Operations Manager - vendor management (Boise, ID)

Bluepeak Fern Transit Planning Group plans bus and rail service for cities around Boise. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a large organisation of about 525 people based in Boise. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for fare systems and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Boise, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
