Operations Manager - vendor management (Birmingham, AL)

Northwind Cobalt Construction builds commercial and industrial projects around Birmingham. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. You would join a small organisation of about 132 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for permits and act on them. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with change orders. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
