Operations Manager - vendor management (Austin, TX)

Fernwood Drift Farms supplies farm and food customers across the Austin region. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on vendor management. Seasons are busy and the rest of the year is for planning. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for seasonal crews and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with field records. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
