Operations Manager - vendor management (Austin, TX)

Bluepeak Glen Inspection Services tests and certifies buildings, pipelines and equipment around Austin, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our vendor management. You would join a large organisation of about 892 people based in Austin. What you will do • Track performance measures for test reports and act on them. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with certifications. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
