Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Virginia Beach, VA)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Cedar Foods and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be throughput and quality. You would join a small organisation of about 40 people based in Virginia Beach. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for cold storage and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with ingredient orders. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Virginia Beach. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
