Operations Manager - throughput and quality (Toledo, OH)

Summit Meridian Foods Group is a Toledo food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. You would join a small organisation of about 36 people based in Toledo. What you will do • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for production batches and act on them. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with sanitation schedules. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Toledo. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
