Operations Manager - throughput and quality (St. Louis, MO)

We are growing our team at Amberfield Stone Freight and adding an Operations Manager whose main responsibility will be throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of about 914 people based in St. Louis. What you will do • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Track performance measures for carrier rates and act on them. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. Nice to have • Experience with claims. • Lean or continuous-improvement training.
