Operations Manager - throughput and quality (San Jose, CA)

Cedar Stone Freight Group is a San Jose logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch, and we need an Operations Manager to lead our throughput and quality. You would join a small organisation of about 147 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Track performance measures for loads and lanes and act on them. • Manage a team of supervisors and coordinators. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. What we are looking for • Good judgement under pressure. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. Nice to have • Experience with carrier rates. • Lean or continuous-improvement training. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in San Jose. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
