Operations Manager - throughput and quality (San Jose, CA)

Cedar Oak Transit Planning plans bus and rail service for cities around San Jose. We are hiring an Operations Manager to take on throughput and quality. You would join a large organisation of about 772 people based in San Jose. What you will do • Plan daily and weekly work and keep it moving when things change. • Lead safety and compliance routines and follow up on incidents. • Manage vendors, contracts and budgets. • Find and fix the small process problems that cost hours every week. • Track performance measures for fare systems and act on them. What we are looking for • Four or more years in operations, with some people-management. • Comfort with numbers, schedules and reports. • Good judgement under pressure. Nice to have • Lean or continuous-improvement training. • Experience with service alerts.
